A new document has been presented and edited at the first Members’ Assembly in May 2017, in Grünau, Germany. It was eventually accepted by the Board of the ECC in December 2017 with the title: Declaration – For a Common Spirit of Europe.

It summarizes the recent challenges for Europe and presents a vision of a European gathering of Christians. It further defines the format of the ECC: a large-scale participatory event, a place to share spirituality, community and fellowship, a transnational place of dialogue and networking, as well as a festival of art and culture.
